Henry Van Dyke, in one of his quotable quotes, said:

β€œTime is…
…too slow for those who wait.
…too swift for those who fear.
…too long for those who grieve.
…too short for those who rejoice.
But for those who love, time is eternity.”

Such quote has been embedded in my heart and mind since I first heard it when I was a senior high school student. I remember winning in a Regional Essay Writing Contest then and I won the First Place because my coach told me to use the theme of ‘time’ when I let my mind do the composing. Being a voracious reader that I was, I used what I came across among Van Dyke’s famous quotes. The one I just pasted above was it. The theme of the Regional Meet was “Keeping up with the Challenges, as a Youth, in the 21st Century”. I was a student in a public school in Toril, Davao City. The Meet venue was in Surallah, South Cotabato. It was a memorable experience. My time back then involved waiting, being fearful, in grief and rejoicing. And then, love inspired me as I managed to write a 1000-word-entry. My then boyfriend, our class Valedictorian, was a contestant in the Quiz Bowl Competition. You can tell there was so much inspiration going on there. LOL. I wish I still can retrieve a copy of my winning piece. I think it is impossible now. It was October of 1999. It’s been 13 years now.

See, time flew by so quick. Because I had fun, time passed by unnoticed.

Just like hosting the November Blog Photo Challenge. November came with so much enthusiasm as I invited everyone to ride along with me as I do the maneuvering. Today, November has to leave.
