Sometimes when I’m home alone I really get sucked into the world of directv. I know some people frown upon those of us who spend too many hours watching TV, but I don’t care what they think. I don’t have the time to do it that often but I love just vegging out in front of the TV for hours at a time. It’s a nice way to relax and try to forget about all of the worries and responsibilities of everyday life. Having over 200 TV channels to choose from is a welcome distraction for me. I can get lost in The Travel Channel and see a part of the world I haven’t gotten to yet. I can learn how to make a new recipe watching The Cooking Network. I can also learn about the history of ancient civilizations. We all need a way to de-stress and for me it’s watching TV. For others it might be exercise or going to the movies. I don’t judge them so I don’t understand why they feel the need to act so superior about it.
